Our Heart-to-Heart Kids Kit recognizes that even as faces must be washed and bellies must be fed, laughter must be heard as well. To assemble a Kids Kit you will need:

• One Rubbermaid® Clear Impressions shoebox with lid, 6.5 qt., or other flexible clear plastic 6.5 qt. shoebox with lid
• One small stuffed bear
• One soft small ball
• One harmonica, or other small musical instrument
• One 6” x 9” non-spiral bound pad of regular or construction paper (60-100 sheets)
• One slinky
• One yo-yo
• One 7-foot child’s jump rope
• One comb
• One toothbrush (in original packaging)
• One tube of toothpaste (4-7 ounces)
• One box of 24 crayons
• One large eraser
• Six new pencils with erasers
• One pencil sharpener
• One 30-centimeter ruler (12”)
• One pair blunt child’s scissors

Place all items inside the plastic shoebox, close lid, and tie securely with ribbon.

Health Kits

• One hand towel

• One bar of soap (bath size in wrapper)

Seal all items in a one-gallon plastic bag with a zipper closure. Or, if you prefer, a donation of $12 will allow Church World Service to provide a Health Kit.

Baby Kit

• Six cloth diapers
• Two shirts
• Two washcloths
• Two gowns or sleepers
• Two diaper pins
• One sweater or sweatshirt
• Two receiving blankets (one can be a knitted blanket)

Wrap items inside one of the receiving blankets and secure with diaper pins. Or you may choose to give a donation of $39, which will allow Church World Service to provide a new Baby Kit for an infant in a mother and child care program.

School Kit

• One pair of blunt scissors
• Pads or notebooks of ruled paper 8-1/2" X 11", containing 140-200 sheet of paper. No filler paper, please.
• One 30-centimeter ruler (12")
• One pencil sharpener
• Six new pencils with erasers
• One large eraser
• Twelve sheets colored construction paper
• One box of 24 crayons
• One 12" x 14" finished size, cloth bag with cloth handles and a closure (Velcro, snap, or button)

Pack these items in the cloth bag and secure contents with the closure. Or, if you prefer, a donation of $13 per Kit will allow Church World Service to buy school supplies for use in classroom settings.

Emergency Clean-up Bucket

These supplies enable people to begin the overwhelming job of cleaning up after a flood, hurricane, tornados, or other disaster here in the United States*. The value per bucket is $45.

• 0ne 5 gallon bucket with resealable lid
• Five scouring pads
• Seven sponges, assorted sizes
• One scrub brush
• Eighteen cleaning towels (reusable, like Easy Wipes ®)
• One 50-78 oz. box dry laundry detergent
• One 12 oz. bottle of liquid concentrated household cleaner (like Lysol ®)
• One 25 oz. bottle liquid disinfectant dish soap (like Dawn ®)
• Fifty clothespins
• Clothesline, two 50 ft. or one 100 ft.
• Five dust masks
• Two pairs latex gloves
• One pair work gloves
• One 22-27 count box heavy-duty trash bags (33-45 gallon)
• One 6-14 oz. bottle of insect repellant (drops or lotion, not aerosol)

Please purchase all liquids in plastic bottles. Be sure to send only new, unopened materials. Put all items in the plastic bucket, making sure they are packed securely to avoid damage during shipment, and seal lid with packing tape. Place each Bucket in a separate box.
